SecretBuilders Passes 5 million Member Mark, Makes Parents Magazines Top 10

San Mateo, CA (PRWEB) September 20, 2011

SecretBuilders, a game world for children with an emphasis on creativity and historical adventure, was selected by Parents Magazine, the leading parenting magazine in the world, as one of the Top 10 kids websites for 2011, alongside PBS Kids, National Geographics Animal Jam, Nickleodeons Monkeyquest, and Pearsons Poptropica.

Parents Magazine noted that, on SecretBuilders, there is so much to do, see, and learn that he will find something to keep him engaged, whether it's endlessly remodeling his tree house, going on quests, sharing poetry, or having an informative chat with Isaac Newton. The criteria for selection of SecretBuilders included fun, safety, and learning-oriented content. The story appears online and in the September issue of the print magazine.

The recognition by Parents Magazine capped an amazing summer that saw us cross the 5 million member mark, said Umair Khan, CEO of SecretBuilders. Our growth and industry recognition underscore the hunger for premium childrens content on millions of electronic babysitting devices. DonorTravel.com Makes First Charitable Contribution - Online Bookings Reach $5,000, Half of Commission Donated to Red Cross

(PRWEB) May 30, 2005

Making good on the pledge to give back to the community, DonorTravel.com, the only web-based travel booking resource offering the best values available and the benefit of supporting a variety of charitable and non-profit causes, recently made a contribution to the American Red Cross. The Red Cross is among 10 organizations, including Habitat for Humanity and the United Negro College Fund, selected to receive funding from the conscientious new online booking site.

“We're pleased to announce we’ve passed the $ 5,000 mark in total reservations booked on DonorTravel.com,” said Louis Willacy, founder of DonorTravel.com, the “Feel Good Travel” website. “Many thanks to all who have booked travel here. Your support is already making a difference.”

Launched just a few months ago, DonorTravel.com was created to deliver two key objectives – offer a great product that people want, and donate 50% of all booking commissions to support charitable and non-profit causes. By providing the best online prices and selection for travel and related services, the innovative website has tapped into a demand-driven market while offering a value-added benefit of convenient charitable giving for consumers. The growing success of DonorTravel.com means more funding will become available to donate to charities like the American Red Cross.

The $ 5,000 is the total of all bookings made to date on DonorTravel.com. A percentage of that amount is paid back to the travel firm in commission and then half of that amount is donated by DonorTravel.com to charity. Commissions vary among hotels, cruises, car rentals and airlines. For example, today, airlines pay a flat commission of just $ 5 for every flight reservation, regardless of distance traveled or complexity of the itinerary.

DonorTravel.com is part of Oakland-based Interactive Travel Group, which now includes the online travel discussion board, TravelWisdom.com. Billed as the traveler’s website, TravelWisom.com encourages visitors to “learn” everything they need to know about a destination, “travel” with the knowledge gained though other people’s experiences and “share” to offer others in the travel community insight on your journey.

Willacy is offering a special promotional offer to drive visitors to the message board. Now through June 30, clients and visitors who refer a friend to the TravelWisdom.com site are eligible for a $ 100 travel credit on their next booking at DonorTravel.com. The person with the most referrals by the end of June wins.
